Like any significant historical text, it holds considerable linguistic and textual importance. Examining it offers valuable insights into the language in which it was written, the processes of linguistic change and formation during its period, and the broader social, and political conditions of its time. This article reviews Sharafnāme-ye Bedlisi from this textual perspective. From a methodological perspective, this article is based on text analysis and description, analysis, and explanation. The findings indicate that, from an orthographic standpoint, variations exist in the spelling of certain words. Moreover, the text contains words and constructions that are no longer used in the standard Persian of Iran today. On the other hand, the degree of comprehensibility of the text for the modern reader - alongside the author’s own remarks about writing the book in a simple and accessible language - points to a broader movement of the Persian language toward simplification during the period in which this book was composed. This movement gradually purifies written Persian of complicated elements, increasingly transforming it into an effective medium for scientific and public expression. چکیده<br /> شرف‌نامۀ بِدلیسی (نوشته‌شده در 1005 هجری قمری)، به عنوان نخستین کتابی که موضوع اصلی آن کُردها است - همانند هر متن معتبر دیگری - از دید زبانی و متنی اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد و از رهگذر بررسی آن می-توان به آگاهی‌های آموزنده‌ای دربارۀ زبان نگارش آن، سیر تحول و تکوین آن و همچنین شرایط اجتماعی، اقتصادی و سیاسی زمان نوشتن متن دست یافت. در این مقاله، شرف‌نامۀ بِدلیسی از این دید بررسی شده است. از دید روش، این مقاله بر متن‌کاوی و توصیف، تحلیل و تبیینِ پیکره‌بنیاد استوار است. یافته‌های مقاله گویای آن است که از دید نگارشی تنوع‌هایی در نگارش برخی واژه‌ها وجود دارد. همچنین، واژه‌های بسیار و ساخت‌هایی در متن وجود دارد که در فارسی معیار امروز کاربرد ندارند. از سوی دیگر، فهم‌پذیری بیشینۀ متن برای خوانندۀ فارسی‌زبان امروزی و اشاره‌هایی که صاحب شرف‌نامه دربارۀ ساده نوشتن کتاب کرده، گواه حرکت زبان فارسی در مسیر ساده شدن در دورۀ نگارش این کتاب است؛ حرکتی که رفته‌رفته، زبان نگارش فارسی را از پیچیده‌نویسی‌ها و مغلق‌گویی‌ها می‌پیراید و آن را هرچه بیش‌تر به ابزار بیان علمی و عمومی تبدیل می‌کند.
