The reason is probably the lack of a meticulous authentic edition of this book. Therefore, the two existing editions of this dictionary need to be emended to remove errors and defects.This paper aims to provide a critical edition of Muqaddimat al-Adab, and at the same time, focuses on a series of critical notes of the two editions of the book; notable among them are the following: Lack of a detailed introduction of the author and lexicographical method; insufficient description of the manuscripts; no editorial methodology for editing the manuscripts; no reference to the manuscript variants; incorrect recording of entries and their equivalents as a result of misreading the inscription; false etymological explanations; and irregularities within the Arabic and Persian indexes.Finally, with the new discovery of some authoritative and rare ancient manuscripts, a comprehensive critical edition of Muqaddimat al-Adab is essential.       پژوهشگران چنان­که باید به مقدمه‌الأدب زمخشری توجّه نکرده­اند. یکی از دلایل این امر، در دست نبودنِ تصحیحی منقّح، روشمند و دقیق از این کتاب است. از این‌رو، ضروری است نقایص و ایرادهای چاپ‌های موجود این کتاب برای تصحیح انتقادی این متن بررسی شود. در این مقاله، به انواع اشکالات دو چاپ موجود (چاپ لایپزیک و چاپ دانشگاه تهران)، در مقدمه، متن و فهارس پرداخته شده‌است؛ اشکالاتی مانند نداشتن مقدمه‌های تفصیلی دقیق و روشمند دربارۀ مؤلف و اثرش، معرفی ناقصِ دست‌نویس‌ها، نداشتن روش مشخص در تصحیح متن، ارائه نکردن دقیق نسخه‌بدل­ها، ضبط نادرست مداخل و معادل‌های آنها در نتیجۀ بدخوانیِ دست‌نویس‌ها، ارائۀ توضیحات و ریشه‌شناسی‌های نادرست و وجود اشکالات بسیار در تنظیم فهارس عربی و فارسی. علاوه‌بر اینها، به دست آمدنِ دست‌نویس‌های معتبرتر و کهن‌تر از دست‌نویس‌های استفاده­شده در دو چاپ یادشده، دلیل محکم دیگری بر این ضرورت است.<br />   https://zaban.guilan.ac.ir/article_3547_7b8915ca75946e10e36442caa0eb18b8.pdf
