This type of study became prevalent in the current decades; however it was not in focus, yet. Toponymy has been investigated in Iranian dialects less than Persian. Tāti is one of the northwestern Iranian languages which is spoken in Iran and outside the Iran’s borders and it has two branches, i.e., southern and northern. The study of toponymy in Tāti can help us to better understand the dialects of this language. Throughout this paper, while discussing the general issues in Iranian toponymy, the types of geographical names in Khalkhāl's Tāti spesker regions – with more focus on the Dərav village- was studied and their linguistic features have been investigated.   جاینام­شناسی یا بررسی نام­های جغرافیایی، از زیرشاخه­های زبان­شناسی است که اصول و قواعد خاصی دارد. این علم در ایران در دهه­های اخیر رواج یافته، اما هنوز جایگاه خود را پیدا نکرده­است. جاینام­ها در گـویش­های ایرانی کمتر از زبان فارسی بررسی شده­است. تاتی عنوانی کلی از گویش‌های ایرانی است که در نواحی مختلف ایران و خارج از ایران رواج دارد و به دو دستة شمالی و جنوبی تقسیم می‌شود. بررسی جاینام­های تاتی به شناخت بیشتر این گویش‌ها کمک می‌کند. هدف این مقاله ضمن طرح مسائل کلی در جاینام­شناسی ایرانی، انواع جاینام‌های منطقة تات‌زبان شاهرود خلخال، با تمرکز بیشتر بر روستای «درو» dərav مطالعه شده و ویژگی‌های زبانی آنها بررسی شده‌است. https://zaban.guilan.ac.ir/article_2480_3f5d53bcb613fa85bd9cc8463b00fdcc.pdf
