In general terms, there are two types of acronyms; initialisms and word acronyms. An initialism is read and pronounced as a spelling or as a sequence of letters, while a word acronym is pronounced as a single ordinary word. Two-level word acronym is a type of word acronym used by organizations and social groups to suggest some aspect of their purpose or objective. Two-level word acronym expresses meaning on two levels, i.e., as an acronym and as a simple word. This research aimed at the introduction and analysis of some Persian two-level word acronyms whose application is increasing among Iranian organizations and social groups. Furthermore, in this paper, it is argued that the formation of two-level word acronyms which makes the written form and the pronunciation of an actual word and an acronym the same as each other, is a type of semantic extension in the form of polysemy. <strong>اختصارسازی از فرایندهای مهم واژه‌سازی است که در آن یک یا چند نویسه جا</strong><strong>نشین</strong><strong> چند واژه یا یک عبارت طولانی می‌شود. </strong>به­طورکلی به لحاظ شیوۀ تلفظ دو نوع اختصار وجود دارد؛ اختصارهای الفبایی که نویسه‌های آن تک­تک تلفظ می‌شود، و سرنام‌ها که حروف آن به صورت یک واژه ادا می‌شود. هدف این پژوهش معرفی و تحلیل چگونگی تشکیل سرنام‌های دوسطحی است که ساز و کار ویژه و نوینی از واژه‌سازی در زبان فارسی ایجاد کرده و کاربردش در سازمان‌ها و نهاد‌های اجتماعی باب شده و رو به افزایش است. این سرنام‌ها افزون بر اختصار بودن واژه­اند و گویای هدف و پیام آن سازمان‌ها. از این‌رو، این نوع اختصار، معنی را در دو سطح بیان می‌کند؛ به عنوان یک سرنام و به عنوان یک واژۀ موجود و معمولی زبان. هدف این پژوهش این است که نشان دهد فرایند تشکیل سرنام‌های دوسطحی که موجب یکسان­شدن صورت نوشتاری و تلفظ یک واژۀ موجود و یک سرنام‌ می‌گردد نوعی افزایش معنایی به صورت «چندمعنایی» است. https://zaban.guilan.ac.ir/article_2348_53dfef58a1aa041d55390a79b8dea085.pdf
